How To Throw A Ballerina Birthday Party With Unique Ideas

How To Throw A Ballerina Birthday Party With Unique Ideas

My daughter began ballet classes at the age of two and has been absolutely captivated by it ever since! When we started planning her birthday party, she eagerly requested a ballerina-themed celebration. Organizing this party was such a fun experience, and I am thrilled with how beautifully everything turned out. Below, you will find everything you need to be able to learn how to throw a ballerina birthday party with unique ideas!

Balloons

We hosted Dottie’s party at a local dance studio, and the balloon garlands and photo backdrop totally transformed the space! These balloons and backdrop are from Birchwood Events. If you are local to North Georgia, she will come and set everything up for you. I have used her several times before and her work is always beautiful! Check out this post to see her beautiful work at another event I hosted.

Sweets

I love ordering personalized cookies for any events I am planning! The personalization is such a cute touch and really elevates the sweets table. These are from Julie Beans Bake Shop and she is my go-to for cookies like these. She can customize them to be any theme you want and they taste so good! Check out her Instagram @juliebeansbakeshop. To see more of her designs check out Duke’s gender reveal post here.

We got Dottie’s cake from @classiccityconfections and it tasted just as good as it looked!

Food

For food I did a batch of pimento cheese sandwiches as well as chicken salad since Dottie is dairy free. I also had some other snacks out on the table as well! These beaded trays are from the brand Lenox. I registered for these when I got married so most are out of stock, but I was able to find the bowl here.

Table and florals

All of the tables and chairs are from Barrons Rental in Athens. Birchwood Events did the balloon garland over the table and I held them up with rods from Amazon. Me and Dottie went to Trader Joes the Day before the party and bought all the flowers. She had so much fun helping me put together all of the arrangements! I used mostly hydrangeas and rose, I find that if you prepare them correctly they will last for several works. I love gifting the arrangements to my friends and family after. There is actually an article that I wrote on tips for how to keep roses fresh and one for hydrangeas as well.

Party Favors

For party favors this year, I wanted to try something different from previous years. Instead of giving out trinkets that just end up being thrown out, I decided to give each little girl a ballet outfit. I found a really affordable one on Amazon, and it ended up being about the same price as I would have spent on all the goodie bag supplies. They all loved matching, and it was such a joy to see them feel like real ballerinas.

I also found these adorable cards on Etsy that I added a scrunchie to make a dancer. Check out this reel to see how easy and cost effective they are!

Invitations

I found the sweetest invitations and signs on Etsy. The ballerina on the sign had blonde hair like Dottie which was such a cute extra touch! I reused her monogram sash on the top of the welcome sign and I love how it turned out. We have used the sash to decorate Easter baskets, for her party, and baptisms- the possibilities are truly endless!

Dottie’s Day

Dottie’s face lit up when she saw the room her party was in. It made all the planning and staying up late prepping worth it! She was so excited for the day to finally get here and to wear her special ballerina tutu!

A local student who is a dancer came and taught little ballet class for all the girls. They loved getting to learn from a “real life ballerina!”
