Springtime Strawberry Sangria

Springtime is here and it’s time to get outside and enjoy the weather! I wanted to create a picnic for my husband and I to share outdoors so I made us a festive cocktail + snack board to enjoy. This bright and refreshing cocktail is the perfect treat to enjoy out in the sunshine. Keep reading to see how to create the perfect Springtime Strawberry Sangria using Grey Goose Essences !

Springtime Strawberry Sangria

Charcuterie boards are my go-to for any outdoor gathering. You can make them as small or large as you need so they are perfect whether you’re serving 2 or 20 people! I always grab a variety of cheese, crackers, nuts, pickles, fruits and jams.

The star of the show for this sangria was the Grey Goose Essences in Strawberry Lemongrass. This unique spirit is vodka infused with real fruit and botanical essences. It adds the perfect amount of flavor to the drink without being overly sweet (it actually has 0 grams of sugar or carbs). It’s the perfect base for a light and refreshing cocktail and provides an elevated taste to any sangria or spritzer.

The fresh strawberries and lemon slides perfectly compliment this flavor of vodka while the simple syrup helps to add just a touch of sweetness. I like using plain soda water in mine because I think the Grey Goose provides enough flavor, but if you have a favorite flavored soda water you could experiment with adding those as well! Another option is to omit the soda water from the pitcher and wait until you serve to add just a splash of bubbles to each glass.

Bonus points if you serve in a festive glass! I was gifted this set last Christmas but I’ve seen similar options at Hobby Lobby, Homegoods, and World Market.

Here’s a shot of everything you need! Rose, Grey Goose Strawberry & Lemongrass, soda water, simple syrup, fresh strawberries and lemon (note: the recipe calls for more strawberries than what’s pictured in the photo).
