Why You’ll Love This Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup

  • Made with real pumpkin: Pumpkin puree gives this syrup its rich, seasonal flavor.
  • Naturally sweetened: Maple syrup and coconut sugar add sweetness without refined white sugar.
  • Easy to make: Simply whisk everything together in a pot and let it cool.
  • Perfect for fall: Add it to coffee, homemade lattes, baked goods, or seasonal cocktails for an extra touch of pumpkin spice.

How to Use Pumpkin Spice Syrup

One of the best things about this homemade pumpkin spice syrup is how many ways you can enjoy it. Try adding it to:

  • Coffee and lattes: Stir it into your morning coffee or homemade latte for a cozy pumpkin spice flavor.
  • Pastries and baked goods: Drizzle it over pancakes, waffles, or other fall-inspired treats.
  • Seasonal cocktails: Add a splash to your favorite autumn cocktail for a festive twist.
  • Tea and other drinks: Mix it into warm drinks whenever you want a little extra seasonal flavor.

How to Store Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup

Once the syrup has cooled completely, transfer it to a clean, airtight container and refrigerate it. A mason jar with a lid is an easy storage option. Because this recipe contains real pumpkin, keep it refrigerated and use it promptly. Discard it if you notice any changes in smell, appearance, or texture.

If you’ve tried my original pumpkin spice puree recipe, this syrup is an updated version with a thinner consistency that makes it easier to mix into drinks. The original puree is thicker and works wonderfully as a spread for cheese and crackers, toast, or a fall-inspired charcuterie board. You can find the full puree recipe on my website!
