SWEET + SOUTHERN DEVILED EGGS

This recipe is best if made a few hours ahead of serving or even the day before.  This will allow the flavors time to “get familiar” 🙂  I will let the egg yoke mixture sit for a few hours in the fridge to chill and allow all the flavors to marinate together. Later, I’ll use a piping bag or ziplock bag to assemble the deviled egg before serving.

SWEET + SOUTHERN DEVILED EGGS

These deviled eggs have a sweet tang and a slight crunch, they are the perfect appetizer for any game day, bridal shower or family gathering.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 boiled eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet relish
  • 1/4 cup sweet onion
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions
 

  • slice the boiled eggs in half, remove yolks and place in a mixing bowl. Set aside egg whites on a tray for later
  • mix the egg yolks, mayonnaise, mustard, relish & onion together in a bowl. You can mash with with I fork until with combined, or use an electric mixer for a smoother consistency. You can add more mayonnaise at this time If needed for consistency
  • spoon the mixture into a piping bag (or a gallon zip lock bag and snip the corner)
  • carefully fill each egg white with the egg mixture
  • sprinkle with smoked paprika to garnish
