Christmas in July 🎄🩷 My 6 year old requested a Christmas themed birthday party and it turned out to be one of my favorite themes we’ve ever done! (Side note I seriously think if I didn’t have a 3 year-old boy party to throw the very next weekend, I really would have left the tree up until Christmas!) I love that my little girl loves to throw parties & entertain as much as I do, we had so much fun dreaming up every detail and planning together. The day of the party is always memorable, but my favorite part is actually weeks before, sitting side by side at the kitchen table with her, scrolling through Pinterest for inspiration and making lists together of all of our ideas. ☺️I hope these are core memories for her that she will remember forever 🩷 What theme should we do next ?!

Okay you talked me into it! Ever since we wallpapered the ceiling, we’ve been wanting to color drench our dining room green! We finally did it this weekend and I’m not sure about this color 🙈 I wanted it to perfectly match the paper but it turned out a little more sherbet than I hoped. What do we think, do we have Trey repaint the dining room for a fourth time or should we leave it as is?!

• Fabric softener → Often loaded with synthetic fragrance that can irritate airways and are linked to endocrine disruption concerns.

• Air fresheners → Often contains phthalates hidden under “fragrance,” which are associated with hormone disruption & poor indoor air quality (and trigger allergies & asthma).

• Plastic food storage → Can leach microplastics and chemicals like BPA or BPA substitutes into your food, especially when heated.

• Nonstick cookware → Traditional coatings may release PFAS compounds (“forever chemicals”) when overheated or worn, raising long-term exposure concerns.

• Conventional dryer sheets → Coated in fragrance and chemicals that transfer to clothing and contribute to indoor air pollution and allergies.

Simple Lo-Tox weed killer!! Recipe below 👇🏼

In 2015, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (a branch of the World Health Organization) classified glyphosate as a Group 2A “probably carcinogenic to humans.” For me, if there’s a simple, affordable alternative that works, I’d rather make the swap and reduce unnecessary exposure around my home.

💚INGREDIENTS
1 Gallon of white vinegar (30% acidity, you can find this at Home Depot)
1 Cup of table salt or Epsom salt
1 Tablespoon of liquid Dawn dish soap

💚HOW TO MAKE:
-Dissolve the salt: Pour the salt into a large container or pump sprayer, add a little of the vinegar, and stir until the salt is completely dissolved.
-Add the rest: Pour in the rest of the vinegar and the Dawn dish soap. Mix well, but do not shake vigorously to avoid excessive suds.
Application: Pour the mixture into a spray bottle or pump sprayer. Coat the foliage and stems of the weeds thoroughly
Try to do this on a day when it’s nice and sunny, it will be most effective if it doesn’t rain for a day or two before and after application. You could easily use this with a smaller spray bottle or do the most with a backpack sprayer like my husband lol.
