Strawberry Mint Margarita

This Strawberry Mint Margarita is crisp and refreshing, perfect for those hot late summer afternoons!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 oz tequila I prefer Altos
  • 1/2 oz Cointreau *
  • 1 lime - juiced
  • 1/2 cup strawberries
  • handful mint leaves
  • 1 oz soda water (optional)

Instructions
 

  • thoroughly muddle mint and lime juice in a tall glass
  • add strawberries and press with muddler until mostly crushed
  • in a separate cocktail shaker, add ice and pour in tequila and cointreau- shake well
  • pour in the lime/strawberry mixture and carefully stir (shaker will be very full)
  • strain over glass of ice
  • optional - top with soda water and stir
  • garnish with extra berries & mint
